Comfort Zone

The Zone is one of my more complex pieces. Starting with the clay base then adding SPF to the top and sides. Each process has to dry for a few days. Once the clay has settled and dried, it's onto applying the foam. Rubber gloves & respirator are worn for this process. A few days later time to apply the base gesso coat. Acrylic paint will not stick to the foam unless you prime first. Once all that is done, its time to grab the micro-glasses/brushes and add all the tiny detail touch ups. Two weeks later the piece in completed and ready to varnish & seal.
